Finding Your Road to Success

A SHORT INTRODUCTION
Hi, thanks for checking out The PA Pathway! I’m Courtney - I currently work as a PA at one of the top ten hospitals in the nation. My goal is to share the knowledge and information I’ve gained over the last several years while working to become a PA in order to bring you success on a similar (yet unique!) journey.
I chose to pursue a career as PA because I value forming long lasting, meaningful relationships with patients while applying complex medical knowledge to improve their well-being. I started my pathway to PA school as an EMT and eventually attended the physician assistant program at Northwestern University.
I assist with PA school interviews for Northwestern and am on the admissions committee for our pre-PA internship at the hospital. I also serve as a mentor for pre-PA and current PA students. Lastly, I am a clinical preceptor and recently was awarded Clinical Preceptor of the Year by Northwestern Medicine.
Through these experiences I learned what it takes to be a standout PA applicant and how to succeed within the field. Before becoming an EMT, I worked as a high school teacher. This taught me how to provide structured feedback to increase your chances of success.

I’d love the opportunity to meet with you and figure out how we can best find your pathway to becoming a PA!
